Am 21. Mai 2026 gab Bungie bekannt, dass die aktive Entwicklung von Destiny 2 eingestellt wird. Das finale Update, ‚Monument of Triumph‘, erscheint am 9. Juni 2026, während das Spiel weiterhin spielbar bleibt.
